From 5 to 12 July 2026, Moise Palace hosted the CAPONEU Summer School in Critical Theory and Praxis: Literature and Society, bringing together researchers, lecturers and students from across Europe.
The programme featured workshops, lectures and roundtable discussions on political literature, critical theory and social issues. Highlights included lectures by Alan Finlayson, Juan E. De Castro, and Karin Doolan, a discussion with theatre director Oliver Frljić, and a public forum and screening of Igor Bezinović’s award-winning film “Fiume o morte!”. Alongside the academic programme, participants enjoyed an excursion to Labin and Raša and cultural activities on Cres.
